Blue Training Solutions Ltd in association with the conflict management specialists Maybo Limited is to bring the Skills for Security and Awarding Body Accredited physical intervention train the trainer programme to Northern Ireland.

Who is the training suitable for?
This training is directed at qualified trainers who must hold a minimum Level 3 teacher / trainer qualification and a Level 3 Conflict Management qualification. The trainer must be affiliated with a Centre licensed by Maybo to deliver its leading physical intervention training.

What does the training cover?
This is a 5 day course which incorporates disengagement skills (non-restrictive physical interventions) and holding and escorting skills (restrictive physical interventions).

This training will be divided in 2 phases:
Phase 1: 5 hours (approx) of distance learning
Phase 2: 5 day workshop

What does the programme give you?
Successful trainers will receive the Maybo Skills for Security Certificate in the Delivery of Physical Intervention Training. Trainers can also complete a full national qualification in physical intervention during the course (choice of Edexcel or City & Guilds). The training will enable you to teach others how to assess situations effectively and make that crucial decision if required to physically intervene using the Maybo Safer methods of intervention.

Do we need to be a specific Awarding Body centre to deliver this training?
No, the programme is managed through Maybo and certificated by BIIAB. You can be a centre with any awarding body and deliver this accredited training.
