*What I offer*
Professional English Language Tuition
1) General English courses -a range of levels from complete beginner to upper-intermediate
2) English for Academic Purposes, including IELTS preparation courses.
3) Study Skills -courses in how to succeed at a UK university. This includes essay and thesis-writing techniques, how to listen to lectures, giving presentations, participating in seminars and tutorials and understanding the UK system.
*Rates*
From £20 per hour - £30 per hour, subject to negotiation and type of course required

Friendly, approachable female English Language tutor based in Beeston, Nottingham. I am located very close to The University of Nottingham and also nearby Nottingham Trent University and most colleges in Nottingham.
*Tutoring Approach*
I begin with an informal interview to set personal targets, based on your personal needs and what you aim to achieve from your classes.
I am a very friendly and patient person, creating a relaxed environment where you can gain confidence in your English Language skills, whatever level you are at.
My study sessions are always carefully planned and will include two aspects:
1) Tutor-led teaching time where I will use my expertise to help you learn new things.
2) Time for you to practise your language skills, including reading, writing, speaking, listening grammar and vocabulary.
I will also guide you in self-directed study (homework) activities that you can do in between classes.
From me, you can expect an equal dedication and commitment to helping you improve your language skills, at whatever level.
*Tutoring Experience *
I hold the CELTA - a world-recognised certificate that qualifies me to teach English as a second language to adults. I have been a class tutor for 3 years at colleges in Nottingham. I have specialised in university-level education and have taught preparatory English courses and degree foundation courses at both undergraduate and post-graduate levels.
