"ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
The minimum entry requirements are two A-levels and three GCSEs in five separate subjects, including English and Math’s or equivalent.
Students are required to register directly with ACCA before commencing a course of study.
Students with higher qualifications such as degrees, CAT or AAT should consult ACCA website or ACCA directly to determine if they have exemptions from any papers.
FUNDAMENTAL LEVEL
The ACCA Fundamental level is divided into two modules:
ACCA Knowledge Module
1. F1 – Accountant in Business
2. F2 – Management Accounting
3. F3 – Financial Accounting
ACCA Skills Module
4. F4 – Corporate and Business Law
5. F5 – Performance Management
6. F6 - Taxation
7. F7 – Financial Reporting
8. F8 - Audit and Assurance
9. F9 – Financial Management
ACCA Professional Module – we also do the P1 to P7 papers at this level
ACCA Knowledge module
In this module you will be learning the fundamental knowl edge or basic principles of accounting. The 3 papers are compulsory to complete
The exams are computer based on demand or paper based at your local ACCA exam centre. There is one date for each exam in June and one date in December. You have to plan in advance to make sure you have met the ACCA registration and exam entry deadlines.
The questions are multiple choice, single number entry, true/false or require you to select all the correct answers from a list.
Students may receive exemptions from papers in the Knowledge module. In particular, those students who have completed the AAT or CAT qualification are normally exempt from all three papers.
ACCA Skills module
In this second module of the ACCA qualification at the Fundamentals Level, you will develop the basic skills required to become an accountant. The exams are much harder than those in the Knowledge module and require you to analyse, explain and complete detailed calculations. All the 6 papers are compulsory to complete
The exams are 3 hours in duration, plus you will receive 15 minutes reading and planning time at the beginning of the exam. All questions are compulsory and there is a pass mark of 50%. They are all written exams (no multiple choice). The exams are sat at your local ACCA exam centre. There is one date for each exam in June and one date in December. You have to plan in advance to make sure you have met the ACCA registration and exam entry deadlines.
Students may receive exemptions from individual papers in the Skills module if you have covered the subject in your degree. You should apply directly to ACCA for any exemptions that you wish to claim.
The exams in this module can be taken in any order, so you could for example sit F4 and F5 in your first exam sitting, then F6 and F9, and finally F7 and F8.
