Hi there,
I am a professional drawing and painting tutor with over 10 years experience. This 6 week, fully tutored course in the Botanic Gardens will focus on the use of pen & ink.
Using specific dipping nibs, brushes and Indian ink all class members will be guided through the stages of creating drawings using this versatile medium. From expressive quick sketches through to creating large scale drawings; working from life and in the studio, this course will offer a thorough insight into pen & ink. We will also take inspiration from past artists and incorporate their methods into our own drawings.
This course is suitable for those with some experience in drawing and painting as well as for complete beginners or those new to pen & ink.
The classes at the Botanic Gardens are an excellent opportunity to deepen the experience of working with specific methods and materials, gain confidence in creating drawings and paintings and enjoy a relaxed and encouraging group atmosphere. Tea and coffee will be provided.
