BLS / CPR Basic Life Support / CPR First Aid Training Course
The BLS / CPR Basic Life Support/CPR training course is designed to equip candidates with basic first aid skills and provide a greater understanding of basic life support and CPR in adults, children and infants.
It is suitable for everyone who has an interest in learning how to perform CPR and basic first aid on casualties who may have have suffered cardiac arrest or are choking.
The Basic Life Support/CPR training course can also be used by qualified first aiders to refresh or practice their first aid skills between requalification courses.
Basic Life Support training is not only a good life skill for everyone to learn but mandatory training for many professions such as those working in nursing and the health care industry.
Learning outcomes
By the end of the course candidates will be able to:
•Have a clear understanding of what to do when faced with a casualty who is not breathing.
•Describe and deliver CPR.
•Know the difference between administering CPR to children and adults.
•Know how to help someone who is choking.
•Know how do put someone in the recovery position.
The Basic Life Support training course does not require any formal assessment however you will need to demonstrate competency to the instructor during the course.
We also run courses open to individuals and groups at our Hastings training centre, suitable for those in Bexhill, Eastbourne, Battle, Brighton, East Sussex and surrounding areas.
Certification
Successful candidates shall be awarded a Pro BLS Basic Life Support certificate and a wallet sized card valid for one year.
