This class is suitable for all levels of students from absolute novice to more experienced dancers. Katy teaches excellent belly dance technique through fun aerobic drills and routines. Beginners start every week and the class is designed to allow all dancers to get involved straight away whatever their level.
Dancing is a joyous, uplifting activity, and our aim is to make learning belly dancing a fun and accessible form of exercise. Our classes really are for all women, regardless of age or fitness level. No previous dancing experience is necessary, and there is definitely no need to “have the belly for it”.
New people join throughout the year and so part of the classes is always aimed at complete beginners. Moves are built up in stages so find your level and work from there. Classes have a friendly and inclusive atmosphere, so why not come and see for yourself?

The Irish Centre is a well known landmark to the south side of Chorlton village centre, High Lane is just off Barlow Moor Road and runs into Edge Lane to the west (easily accessible for Stretford as well as Chorlton). Chorlton bus station is about 5 mins walk from the centre and so lots of bus pass the end of High Lane, the centre is about 2 mins walk up the road and on the lefthand side.
