My name is Peter and I am based in Huntershill Village Bishopbriggs East Dunbartonshire
I have been playing the guitar for 35 years. I am a registered guitar tutor with the 'Registry of Guitar Tutors'.
I specialize in teaching music theory, acoustic guitar to all age groups and abilities.
I teach each student the fundamentals of musical notation, (how to read music), music theory, position playing, scales and various technical studies to help develop speed and accuracy using a plectrum. I also teach the student how to form chords and read tab.
With practice the student will learn how to perform etudes, solos and duets, progressing through grades 1 to 8.
I can also prepare students for undertaking RGT exams which start at beginner level and progress to professional Diplomas.
The exams are organised in partnership with London College of Music Exams (one of the world's most respected music examination boards, established since 1887) and certificated by Thames Valley University.
From Grade One onwards RGT exams are accredited by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA) and UCAS points are awarded for Grade 6 and above.
I also make time for the student to learn a song that they would like to play.
